Sept 10 (LNGJ) - French classification society Bureau Veritas has been chosen to class the LNG bunkering vessel being built at the Hanjin Heavy Industries yard in South Korea, under an agreement between Japanese companies NYK Line and Mitsubishi Corp and French LNG player GDF-Suez. The vessel will carry 5,000 cubic metres of LNG for fuelling ships and work initially out of the Belgian port of Zeebrugge. Philippe Donche-Gay, head of the marine division of Bureau Veritas, said the class society would help the venture with its "experience with every type and size of gas carrier" and its "lead in the area of dual-fuel and multi-function gas carriers."
