US natural gas market

Sept 5 (LNGJ) - In the US natural gas market spot prices fell over the past week at most trading locations across the country. The benchmark Henry Hub spot price fell from $3.99 per million British thermal units to $3.94 per MMBtu. On the New York Mercantile Exchange, the near-month (October 2014) future contract fell from $4.003 per MMBtu to $3.847 per MMBtu, the US Energy Information Administration said in its weekly report. The natural gas rig count rose by eight to 338 and the oil rig count rose by 11 to 1,575.
