Sept 3 (LNGJ) - Noble Energy of the US has signed a non-binding letter of intent to supply pipeline natural gas from the Leviathan LNG and gas project offshore Israel to the National Electric Power Co. of Jordan. Noble and the Israel-based Leviathan partners will supply around 1.6 trillion cubic feet of natural gas from the Leviathan field over a 15-year term. It will supplement LNG supplies to be brought in to an import facility planned at Aqaba. Leviathan natural gas would also partly replace dwindling pipeline supplies from Egypt.
