July 31 (LNGJ) - The Australia Pacific LNG project, one of three coal-seam-gas-to-LNG plants being built on Curtis Island near the Queensland port of Gladstone, is now 75 percent complete. The shareholders in ALNG are ConocoPhillips, Sinopec of China and Origin Energy of Australia. Origin Chief Executive for LNG David Baldwin said: "Strong progress has been made on APLNG with the upstream component of the project approximately 76 per cent complete and the downstream component 75 per cent complete." The venture remains on track to deliver first LNG in mid-2015.
