Technip confirms Yamal details

May 15 (LNGJ) - French engineering firm Technip confirmed the finalization of the contract award for the Yamal LNG project in the Russian Arctic being developed by Novatek with partners including France's Total to produce 16.5 million tonnes per annum of LNG from three Trains. For the past 14 months Technip has been involved in providing planning, detailed engineering, financial estimates and procurement work and expects to hand over the first Train in 2017. Technip will recognize the Yamal order intake, estimated at 4.5 billion euros ($6.15Bln), in the second and third quarters of 2014.
