May 14 (LNGJ) - A project company has been formed in Malta called Malta Power & Gas Ltd. for an LNG-to-power venture on the Mediterranean island as part of a government tender for natural gas supply using LNG. Gasol, a UK-listed LNG and power project developer usually focused on Africa, said it was part of the winning consortium. Gasol will hold 30 per cent of the venture and Azerbaijan's Socar Trading will have 20 percent. The balance of the shares are held by GEM Holdings, a company owned by Maltese-controlled firms Gasan and Tumas and the financial services arm of Germany's Siemens.
