May 13 (LNGJ) - The Williams Partners subsidiary Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Co. has received permits to complete expansions to increase delivery capacity to New York City in time for next winter's heating season as part of action by pipeline companies to avoid LNG imports from Canada for the northeast. "After the brutal cold that drove several peak-day delivery records on the Transco system this past winter, we're pleased to move forward with this critical infrastructure to provide additional natural gas supply and increased reliability to New York," said Rory Miller, senior vice president of Williams for the Atlantic-Gulf operating area.
