May 12 (LNGJ) - Hoegh LNG has taken delivery of a Floating Storage and Regasification Unit, named the “Independence”, the second of four FSRUs ordered from Hyundai Heavy Industries of South Korea. The vessel will be deployed by the end of the year as an import facility in the Baltic state of Lithuania for petroleum storage company, Klaipedos Nafta. Sveinung J.S. Stohle, President and Chief Executive of Hoegh, said: "The 'Independence' represents the most advanced and efficient FSRU in the market, and will play a key role in giving Lithuania the energy infrastructure necessary to diversify its sources of natural gas."
