April 23 (LNG) - AMEC, the UK-listed company taking over LNG engineer Foster Wheeler, said the takeover remained on track for completion in the third quarter of 2014. AMEC said its own trading continued to be in line with expectations, though North American currencies remained weak versus the UK pound. AMEC Chief Executive Samir Brikho said: "The acquisition of Foster Wheeler remains on track for completion expected in the third quarter. We believe the combination of AMEC and Foster Wheeler is a compelling one, for our shareholders, our customers and our employees."
