March 20 (LNGJ) - Origin Energy, the company partnering ConocoPhillips and China's Sinopec in developing the Australia Pacific coal-seam-gas-to-LNG project in Queensland, has resumed CSG drilling operations across five of 12 sites after a temporary suspension. Origin had suspended drilling following notification from the drilling fluid supplier that an additive sometimes used in drilling was recently found to contain some asbestos. All drilling rigs restarted either had no traces of asbestos or were verified as safe, the company said. "The remaining seven rigs are expected to progressively return to service over the coming days," Origin said.
