Feb 14 (LNGJ) - ExxonMobil started natural gas production at the Damar field offshore the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The licence is a 50-50 joint venture between the US major and a subsidiary of Malaysia's Petronas. The Damar field has a projected capacity of 200 million cubic feet of gas per day from the planned development of 16 wells. "Damar will help meet increasing natural gas demand in Malaysia," said Neil W. Duffin, President of ExxonMobil Development Co. "It also represents one of several projects that will add to ExxonMobil's global production as we remain focused on delivering profitable volumes over the long term."
