Jan 7 (LNGJ) - The 216,200 cubic metres capacity Q-Flex LNG carrier, the "Al Gharrafa", of Qatar Gas Transport, has arrived in Singapore after its collision with a container vessel, the "Hanjin Italy", last week in international waters of the Malacca Strait between Batam and Singapore. The LNG carrier had been on its way from the LNG port of Ras Laffan in Qatar to Singapore with a cargo. The accident was described as contact, or an allusion. The LNG carrier suffered bow damage and the container ship had a damaged starboard side in the middle area.
