Dec 11 (LNGJ) - The Tanker Structure Co-operative Forum (TSCF) elected Hayato Suga of the Japanese classification society, Nippon Kaiji Kyokai and known as ClassNK, as its next Chairman. Suga is the General Manager of ClassNK's Natural Resources and Energy Department and one of ClassNK's foremost experts on LNG carriers and oil tankers. The TSCF was established in 1983 to allow members to share their collective experience to improve tanker structural safety. The TSCF's membership includes representatives from major energy companies as well as shipowners and all the class societies.
