Nov 27 (LNGJ) - Italy's's Eni, the LNG player, and the second-largest Russian natural gas company, Novatek, developer of the Arctic Yamal liquefaction project, have signed a cooperation agreement in Trieste, Northern Italy. Novatek Chief Executive Leonid Mikhelson and Eni CEO Paolo Scaroni signed the accord in the presence of visiting Russian President Vladimir Putin to jointly participate in future offshore projects in the new energy province of the East Mediterranean.
