June 27 (LNGJ) - Repsol rejected a compensation offer received from Argentina for the expropriation of YPF, an action which forced the Spanish energy company to sell many of its LNG assets to Shell. The $5 billion offer "does not satisfy the losses suffered by Repsol, and is constructed on overvalued assets far from market values seen in recent transactions in Argentina and the United States and has a structure which is far from the declared interests of Repsol for an agreement."
