June 26 (LNGJ) - Marathon Oil Corp., operator of the Equatorial Guinea LNG plant, has sold its 10 percent working interest in the Production Sharing Contract and Joint Operating Agreement in Block 31 offshore Angola in southwest Africa for $1.5 billion. The concessionaire of Block 31 is Sonangol, Angola's state-owned oil company, and the operator is BP of the UK.
