June 5 (LNGJ) - The European Investment Bank approved a loan in euros equivalent to $113 million for Lithuania to complete the first LNG import terminal in the Baltic states. The long-term loan will help the state-owned operator of the terminal, Klaipedos Nafta, get the project off the ground by the end of 2014. Lithuania and neighbours Estonia and Finland are currently wholly reliant on Russian pipeline natural gas.
