Nov 23 (LNGJ) - Flex LNG, the Norwegian company that planned to supply a revised Gulf LNG project in Papua New Guinea with an offshore LNG production hull, posted a loss of $2.8 million in the quarter and an annual loss to date of $6.7M. The company has yet to resolve long-running discussions with Samsung Heavy Industries in relation to funds previously paid for vessels it no longer needs. Flex wants the funds switched for the construction of LNG carriers and/or regasification vessels and says the future of the company is at stake . "The Board believes the going concern position and risks remain," Flex said.
