Nov 14 (LNGJ) - BP awarded the first initial contracts for its Project 20K to Houston-based KBR and FMC Technologies, as part of a plan to develop next-generation systems and tools to help unlock the next frontier of deepwater fossil fuel resources, which could have LNG implications. The programme will pursue technologies needed to explore for, develop and produce oil and natural gas from high-temperature and high-pressure reservoirs up to 20,000 pounds per square inch.
