July 10 (LNGJ) - South Korea plans to deregulate more of its LNG sector and domestic natural gas industry, currently dominated by state-run Korea Gas Corp. "The government will submit a natural gas industry reform bill for parliamentary approval as early as possible," a statement said. Currently Kogas imports most LNG, though in earlier reforms companies such as steel-maker Posco were given permission to import cargoes for their own use.
