July 6 (LNGJ) - The Dutch Veka Group said it was developing three more mini-LNG carriers, two of them for coastal voyages and a third for inland waterway bunker activities. The vessels will be powered almost entirely by boil-off gas. Veka previously developed the "Pioneer Knutsen", the world's smallest LNG carrier with a cargo capacity of just 1,100 cubic metres. That vessel is used for small-scale LNG distribution on the Norwegian coast.
