June 22 (LNGJ) - The long-haul US trucking fleet is set to benefit from LNG use because of low prices resulting from the US shale-gas boom, consultants IHS Cambridge Energy Research said in a report."The economics are favorable to both vehicle owners and LNG suppliers," the report said. Heavy trucks will take advantage of US retail LNG prices as low as $1.70 compared with an eqivalent gallon of diesel averaging $3.91 per gallon in the next five years.
