June 15 (LNGJ) - The Oregon LNG project for US exports from the West Coast to East Asia has held an open-house meeting in the town of Warrenton to discuss the venture with opponents. Chief Executive Peter Hansen and his staff were on hand to give explanations about the project, originally conceived as an import terminal but now transformed into an export facility. If approved, the liquefaction plant would be built on 90 acres of state-owned land on the Skipanon Peninsula. The project is backed by New York-based holding company Leucadia National Corp.
