March 7 (LNGJ) - BG Group declined to comment on reports it could sell up to 20 percent of its Quennsland Curtis LNG project in Australia. The plant at Curtis Island, near the port of Gladstone, will produce 8.5 million tonnes per annum of LNG from coal-seam gas owned by BG subsidiary QGC. China National Offshore Oil Corp. is already a 10 percent shareholder and has a 20-year LNG purchase contract for 3.5 MTPA.
