March 5 (LNGJ) - Fairstar Heavy Transport N.V., based in Rotterdam in the Netherlands, was awarded two contracts from the Ichthys LNG project lead engineers, JGC Corp. and Chiyoda of Japan and KBR of US, to provide marine transportation services for the Australian venture. The two contracts engage the Fairstar 50,000 DWT, open stern, semi-submersible vessels "Forte" and "Finesse" for 12 months per ship in the second quarter of 2014. The total value of the two contracts is $56M for the initial period, Farirstar said.
