Feb 23 (LNGJ) - Talisman Energy and Mitsubishi Corp. have reached agreement on the Japanese company's entry into nine of Talisman's licenses in Papua New Guinea's onshore Western Province, via a farm-out from Talisman. The deal is valued at around $280 million. Talisman and Mitsubishi have agreed to work together to aggregate natural gas with a view to potential LNG exports of around 3 million tonnes per annum. "Talisman is delighted to have MC as a strategic partner in our onshore licenses in PNG," said Paul Blakeley, Executive Vice President of Talisman's International Operations in the East.
