Jan 31 (LNGJ) - Kansai Electric Power Co., a Japanese LNG importer, slipped to a loss in the April to December 2011 earnings reporting period with a group net loss of 118.11 billion yen ($1.5Bln) due to higher LNG and other fuel costs for power generation and offline nuclear reactors. The Kansai loss compares with net profits of 107.78Bln yen in the year-before period.
