Jan 17 - LNG player Inpex Corp. said Malaysia's Petronas approved the Japanese company's acquisition of a 75 percent participating interest in deepwater Block S, and a 37.5 percent interest in deepwater Block R respectively, offshore Sabah, Malaysia. Block S is located 120km northwest of the coast of Kota Kinabalu and it covers an area of 574 sq km and where large reserves of oil and natural gas have been discovered.
