Marubeni buys in Australia

Dec 15 - Marubeni Corp., the Japanese trading group, said it entered the gas distribution business in Australia by acquiring a 40 percent stake in Brisbane-based APT Allgas Energy from APA Group, Australia's largest natural gas infrastructure business. RREEF Infrastructure, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank, also acquired a 40 percent stake in Allgas and APA retained 20 percent. Allgas owns 2,475 kilometres of delivery pipelines and 470km of high-pressure pipelines in Queensland.
