Dec. 12 - Kongsberg Maritime, the Norway-based navigational, sureillance and training equipment maker, has released a new Engine Room Simulator model based on a dual-fuel, diesel-electric (DFDE) engine room configuration from a modern LNG carrier. "The new DFDE model will offer the most sophisticated simulator training for LNG engineers available today," it said as DFDE-driven vessels become more common.
