Dec 8 - Russia's Sovcomflot, the largest operator of ice-class LNG carriers, said its LNG vessels contributed 8 percent of nine-month earnings totalling $1.07 billion. This was a 2 per cent increase on the equivalent revenue in 2010, said the company also known as SCF Group. Sovcomflot recently signed a contract with Russian natural gas giant Gazprom for the long-term time charter of two newbuild 170,000 cubic metres capacity ice-class LNG carriers being delivered in 2013-2014.
