China-Japan to revive gas talks

China has moved to resume stalled talks with Japan towards signing a treaty on joint natural gas developments in the East China Sea, Japanese news wires said. The two countries had jointly agreed to develop an area near a natural gas field known as Longjing in China and Asunaro in Japan. Japanese companies would also join the development of the Chunxiao natural gas field, known as Shirakaba in Japan.
