Gazprom Chief Executive Alexei Miller and his Statoil counterpart Helge Lund and executives from both countries have held talks in Saint Petersburg on the Shtokman LNG and natural gas project. "The parties discussed the key issues of cooperation in the gas sector and exchanged views on the progress with preparations for Shotkman Phase 1 development." A final investment decision on the Shtokman venture is expected in 2012.
