Two LNG export facilities have come back online following maintenance periods.

Train 2 at Australia's Ichthys LNG restarted operations on 9th October, project operator Japan’s Inpex Corp said, after it was taken offline for inspection and repairs.

The operator also added that Train 1 is expected to return to full operations by mid-November.

Train 2 had been taken offline for inspection and repair works on 20th August, while the operations at Train 1 were reduced to 70% for preventive measures, due to issues related to the heat exchangers.

Elsewhere, Berkshire Hathaway Energy's US Cove Point LNG export plant returned to production recently, three weeks after it shut down for annual maintenance, according to data from LSEG.

The plant is one of the smallest US LNG export facilities, but with low gas prices since March this year, any loss of demand can negatively impact the Henry Hub price.

Cove Point was on track to pull 844 mill cu ft of gas, up from a just 15 mill cu ft per day since the plant shut down on 20th September, according to LSEG data.
