Crown LNG Holdings, a developer of LNG liquefaction and regasification terminal technology for harsh weather locations, has contracted IKM Engineering & Environmental Consultants (IKM) to design and engineer its planned floating import terminal at Grangemouth in the Firth of Forth, Scotland.
The company claimed that this appointment represents a critical milestone as it moves towards a final investment decision (FID) for the Grangemouth project.
IKM’s mandate will involve the pre-FEED and FEED (front- end engineering and design) phases, including project management and execution planning.
Specific services to be provided include - consenting, overall process design, facility layout optimisation, detailed engineering and procurement support.
Crown also revealed that it will utilise an FSRU for the project.
