Höegh has thrown a lifeline to Egypt by agreeing to deploy a floating LNG import terminal, chartered to Australia, beforehand to the Arab nation to preempt fuel shortages. EGAS sub-chartered the FSRU ‘Höegh Galleon’ for service in the Gulf of Suez port of Ain Sokhna for up to 20 months, though extrapolating from ship tracking data the vessel is unlikely to arrive before the end of the first week of June; our Markets Editor Anja Karl investigates.
