March 14 (LNGJ) - Norwegian oil and gas company Equinor, the operator of the Hammerfest LNG plant and the main supplier of pipeline natural gas to Europe, has exercised options to extend contracts with Archer AS, KCA Deutag Drilling Norway AS and Odfjell Operations AS for a total of four years.
“The options for drilling services on fixed installations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf provide jobs for 2,000 people per year and have an estimated value of 18.4 billion Norwegian crowns ($1.75Bln),” said Equinor. The services they have delivered to Equinor since 2018 are drilling, completion, intervention services, plugging, maintenance and modifications on 19 of Equinor’s fixed installations.
