Offtakers of US LNG are willing to pay higher tolling fees which gives project sponsors good margins considering the current low gas prices at Henry Hub. Some developers of new-built liquefaction plants have asked long-term buyers for higher liquefaction fees to cover rising interest rates and construction costs – and most agreed as US export is still the cheapest-priced gas worldwide.
