LNG outlook for North America appears less dire than forecast

During the next three years more than 82 million tonnes per annum, or about 10.4 billion cubic feet per day, of new LNG capacity will be commissioned - over half located in Qatar

The development of much of this Qatari capacity was sanctioned on the basis of significant volume being delivered to the US, and to a lesser extent to the UK.
