Feb 3 (LNGJ) - Australian stakeholders in the Gladstone LNG and Australia Pacific LNG plants in Queensland, Santos and Origin Energy, are continuing successful activities in the onshore Cooper Basin in South Australia. In their joint venture, Santos and Origin, along with third stakeholder Beach Energy, said a phased approach is being undertaken that may result in drilling up to 26 new wells in the area. During January 2016, the final two wells of the current campaign, Moomba-207 and Moomba-208, intersected gas pay broadly in-line with pre-drill estimates. "The completed drilling campaign proved successful, with all six wells cased and suspended as future producers" they said.
