Jan 21 (LNGJ) - Tokyo Gas, the third-largest Japanese LNG importer, said natural gas sales volumes fell almost 3 percent last month to 1.32 billion cubic metres, the equivalent of 976,800 tonnes of LNG. In the residential sector, volumes totalled 308.5 million cubic metres, down 5.6 percent due to higher than average winter temperatures, Togas said. In the industrial sector, sales were little changed from the same month the previous year at 614.1 million cubic metres. Business sector sales amounted to 187 million cubic metres, down 5.5 percent. Wholesale volumes supplied to other Japanese city-gas firms amounted to 220.1 million cubic metres, down 3.4 percent.
