Jan 19 (LNGJ) - Royal Dutch Shell said it had decided to exit the joint development of the Bab sour gas reservoirs with the liquefied natural gas producer, Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (ADNOC), in the United Arab Emirates. Shell said it would stop further joint work on the project. "The evaluation concluded that for Shell, the development of the project does not fit with the company's strategy, particularly in the economic climate prevailing in the energy industry," Shell said. ADNOC's gas subsidiary produces around 5.7 million tonnes per annum of LNG from its Das Island liquefaction plant.
