Jan 8 (LNGJ) - Norway's Karsto gas processing plant. located north of Stavanger and a key transport and treatment hub for natural gas from the main areas of the Norwegian continental shelf, was temporarily shut down because of a leak. Operator Statoil said the gas leak had now been stopped and emergency services had been stood down. It occurred in the Statpipe facility where the gas pipelines connect to the plant before processing. "The cause of the incident has not as yet been determined," Statoil added.
