Stolt-Nielsen Chairman dies

Jan 4 (LNGJ) - Stolt-Nielsen, the Norwegian-listed global tankers, terminals and logistics  company with LNG plans, has announced the death of Chairman Christer Olsson at the age of 70.  He had served as a director since 1993 and became Chairman in December 2009 when he succeeded Jacob Stolt-Nielsen, the company's founder. "For more than two decades, Christer provided constructive guidance and thoughtful insights to board discussions, helping the company to capitalise on opportunities as well as overcome challenges," said Niels G. Stolt-Nielsen, Chief Executive. "Christer has been a trusted support to me since he first was elected to the Board.  His presence will be greatly missed."
