Dec 24 (LNGJ) - Cheniere Energy said interim Chief Executive Neal Shear would continue in his post until June 15, 2016, after succeeding Charif Souki, who was replaced on December 13 because of policy differences with new shareholders. Cheniere is currently seeking a full-time replacement. The CEO change came as Cheniere began production of LNG at the Sabine Pass LNG plant in Louisiana and from where the first cargo is expected to be loaded in early January 2016. Cheniere said Shear would receive a salary based on an annual rate of $1 million in cash and an incentive payment equal to $1.5M when he steps down in June.
