The race is on to import first LNG to Germany

Uniper and rival RWE are embroiled in a race as to who will be first in importing LNG to Germany. Starting from December 23, Uniper’s chartered floating storage and regas unit (FSRU) at Wilhelmshaven is meant to be ready to take deliveries, while Gasunie helps RWE build a pipeline from its FRSU to Brunsbüttel aiming for the first tanker to land and discharge before the New Year; our Markets Editor Anja Karl finds.
