Australia passes Shell-BG deal

Nov 19 (LNGJ) - Royal Dutch Shell's recommended combination valued at $70 billion with BG Group of the UK has received unconditional merger clearance from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. BG operates the Queensland Curtis LNG plant, on stream since December 2014. Shell has several LNG project stakes in the country and is planning the Prelude Floating LNG venture offshore Western Australia.
