Nov 2 (LNGJ) - Dominion Midstream Partners, owner of the Cove Point LNG import terminal on Chesapeake Bay in Maryland currently being transformed into an export plant, said it acquired a 26 percent partnership interest in Iroquois Gas Transmission System, the operator of a 416-mile interstate pipeline extending from the Canada-US border through New York and Connecticut. Parent company Dominion is one of the nation's largest utilities with operations in 13 states and 12,200 miles of natural gas pipelines and other assets. Cove Point LNG was spun off by Dominion into the Midstream unit along with its Carolina Gas Transmission assets.
