LNG player Delek acquires

Oct 12 (LNGJ) - Delek Group, the owner of stakes in the largest East Mediterranean natural gas fields in terms of proven reserves, Tamar and Leviathan, and with LNG plans for Israel and Cyprus, said it has become the largest shareholder in oil and gas operator Ithaca Energy.  Ithaca has a market value of $223 million and its shares are traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the Alternative Investment Market in London. Ithaca is a partner in 11 producing oil and gas fields. Delek now holds about 20 percent of Ithaca and will be entitled to two places on its board.
