Investors flock to South Australia which is turning into a prime producer of green hydrogen (NH3) and ammonia – rival fuels to LNG for ships, trucks and power stations. The only NH3 exporters to date, however, are Saudi Arabia and Brunei, from where test shipments to Japan took place throughout 2020. Regular trade is due to start in August this year, once the first dedicated hydrogen carrier – the Suiso Frontier – entered into service; our Markets Editor Anja Karl investigates.
